KM Graduate and Laser Football Alum, David Braun named interim head coach at Northwestern University! After graduation from Kettle Moraine, Braun attended Winona State where he ruled their defensive line. He coached for that team for a time then landed at North Dakota State where he contributed to two national titles. Braun was brought on as Northwestern’s defensive coordinator in January and was elevated to interim head coach rather quickly. “I dreamt of playing in the Big Ten," said Braun. "That never became a reality. But the opportunity to coach in the Big Ten and coach and mentor these young men is something that I don’t take lightly.” Congratulations David, we are #KM Proud!

For 50 years, the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) has honored school districts for their high-quality Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). Transparency and quality financial information are critical in today’s education environment and specifically for the Kettle Moraine School District
Kettle Moraine has received this annual award 27 times over the past decades and is currently the only Wisconsin School District to earn this honor. Approximately 4% of school districts nationally earn this designation annually.
Kettle Moraine prepares the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report to:
– Show our community that Kettle Moraine is committed to transparent stewardship of public funds.
– Improve our financial reporting with review comments from school finance professionals and certified public accountants from across the country.
– Be considered by credit-rating agencies to help maintain the district's ratings with Standard and Poors and Moody's which help the district secure more favorable financing for district initiatives.
Preparation of the ACFR report is led by KMSD Finance Manager Jeremy Struss and supported by members of the business office and district leadership team.
