ONE ACT PLAY!!! This past weekend members of the one act play "I Was There" presented at the WISDAA Sectional One Act Play Festival and advanced to the State Festival Contest! This is especially exciting as "I Was There" was a product of KM Drama Club's Student Directed One Act Festival and started as a student directed project. KM Perform Senior Emma Hipp and her dedicated cast and crew earned high marks at both the District Sectional Levels. This is only the second time in KM history that a Student Directed One Act performed at State. Additionally, KM has 4 students who will perform as part of the Wisconsin Thespy Excellence Award Contest with individual events in solo musical theatre and acting. DPI REPORT CARD HIGHLIGHTS!!! The High School of Health Science (HS^2) is the TOP HIGH SCHOOL in the state per DPI report cards! The Kettle Moraine School District is 15th among all K-12 districts in the state. The district's scores in ELA and math are the highest in seven years. "We will continue to improve and focus on both student growth and achievement with aligned curriculum and quality instruction," said KMSD Superintendent, Dr. Stephen Plum. Other highlights include Wales and Cushing Elementary significantly exceeding expectations with Wales earning an impressive 93.9 overall score. HS^2 and Wales showed 100 point growth in ELA, with Wales also earning 100pt growth in math and HS^2 earning 100pt achievement in ELA and MATH. KM Global also significantly exceeded expectations, as did KMMS with an 89.1 overall score and a 96.8 in math. SWIM TEAM AT SECTIONALS!!! We have an amazing lineup for the WIAA Girls State Meet on Saturday, November 15th at Waukesha South, with four individual swimmers and 2 relays qualified! As a team we dropped a combined 55.4 seconds across all of our swims, beating our collective time drop from last year of 54.71 seconds. We also broke our 200 free relay school record with a time of 1:39.07 and tied our school record in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:37.02. Our qualifiers are as follows: 200 Freestyle: Sara Wiedoff, 50 Freestyle: Rowan Rossi-Weida, 100 Freestyle: Sara Wiedoff & Rowan Rossi-Weida, 200 Freestyle Relay: Rowan Rossi-Weida, Katie Bell, Chloe Bell, Sara Wiedoff, 400 Freestyle Relay: Rowan Rossi-Weida, Katie Bell, Chloe Bell, Sara Wiedoff. KM ALUM COMPETING IN OLYMPIC TRIALS!!! Delafield native and Kettle Moraine alum Blair Cruikshank is chasing Olympic dreams! The long-track speed skater will compete at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials this January at Milwaukee’s Pettit National Ice Center, where athletes will race for a spot on Team USA at the 2026 Winter Games in Italy. Blair grew up surrounded by speed skating greatness. Her mom, Bonnie Blair, is a five-time gold medalist, and her dad, David Cruikshank, competed in four Games. Blair, who had no intentions of following in her parents' path, became hooked the first time she laced up a pair of speed skates. DOUSMAN FUN RUN!!! Dousman Elementary's annual event has become one of the most anticipated days of the year for students. The obstacle course challenges evoke grit and perseverance, filling the day with excitement, laughter, and smiles. It was a beautiful day full of sunshine and school spirit. The Fun Run truly brings the Dousman community together and thanks to generous parent donations, raffle baskets, and business sponsorships, we raised an incredible $25,000 this year! Way to go, Bullfrogs!!

TOP CHEF!!! On October 28, members of the Army National Guard visited Mrs. Jordan’s Foods for Life classroom to host a “Top Chef” competition featuring military MREs (Meals Ready to Eat). Students worked in teams to create a three-course meal for the judges, showcasing their creativity, teamwork, and the culinary skills they’ve developed throughout the course. The event was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and valuable learning experiences as students discovered new ways to adapt and innovate with limited ingredients. It was a fun learning experience for all!
