WHAT A FUN WAY TO LEARN FRACTIONS!!!! Cushing Elementary third graders organized a grade-wide pizzeria to gain a better understanding of fractions. They went all out with paper pizzas, checked tablecloths and some impressive moustaches! A great time was had by all. Thank you to everyone who helped with this activity.

CARING IS ALWAYS ON DISPLAY AT DOUSMAN!! Check out the All-School collaborative project Mrs. Lea organized to coincide with Valentine's Day and our theme of the month which is Caring. Students worked with their buddy class to make faces on their hearts. The different colors represent the different grade levels here at Dousman. The 7 1/2 foot wide x 9 foot high heart will be on display in the front hallway across from the gym entrance for the foreseeable future.

ROBOTICS TEAM HEADED TO STATE!!!! The State competition will be held at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) on Saturday March 2, 2024. The KM team consists of students from the KMHS campus, and a few from the middle school.
The event starts at 7am and goes till around 5:30pm at MSOE's Kern Center 1245 N Broadway, Milwaukee. We would love to see you all there to support our KM teams.

WALES CAMPUS HOLDS ANNUAL FINE ARTS DAY!!! Wales and Explore students explored their creativity today in all facets of the arts, with activities in music, dance, juggling, drawing, and more!!! Walking through the building, one could hear everything from drums, singing, and cheers, to laughter and conversation! It was wonderful to watch students find their talents. KMBC ANNUAL SERVICE PROJECT!!! For the Kettle Moraine Girls Basketball Club (KMGBC) 8th Grade Community Project this year, students raised funds to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. The NICU plays a vital role in caring for babies born prematurely. Both 8th grade teams worked together to create promotional materials and collect donations at our 29th annual Sweetheart Tourney, collecting a total of $1,530 which will be given to the Waukesha Memorial NICU to purchase holiday clothing for preemie family photos!

KM SHOWCASE DRAWS LARGE CROWD!! We were thrilled when more than 100 families took time to attend the KM Showcase this year. We will continue to learn from the experience and expand this annual event! Thank you to the presenters for providing over 50 exhibits from all of our KM schools, clubs, teams, and activities. The demonstrations from computer science, Makerspace, robotics, and digital design were really engaging, and the art gallery of student work was impressive. We also want to thank our community partners: Avid Jewelry, Chick-fil-A, Culver's, Dockhounds, Mama Ds, MDs, and Pizza Guy for the generous contributions to our gift bags and prize drawing. Winners were drawn and notified yesterday and we have some very happy recipients!

TOMORROW CLAIRE SKATES IN VEGAS @ THE US SYNCHRONIZED SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS!
Claire Masterson's Intermediate Division Synchronized Skating Team called "Wisconsin Inspire" placed 3rd in the Midwestern Synchronized Skating Sectional Conference in Wichita, KS in January.
They are now competing against teams from across the country in Las Vegas on Saturday 2/24. The team comprises skaters from the Waukesha, Madison, and Beaver Dam areas.

KM ELEMENTARY DADDY DAUGHTER DANCE WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!! The theme was a night in Paris and more than 340 people were in attendance! There were lots of great activities including crafts, games, and of course the dance itself!! Thank you to Amanda Gill for organizing this fantastic event; to Chris Otto for DJing; and to the many KMHS students who volunteered.
LAX BLAST FUNDRAISER MARCH 16!!!!!! KM Lacrosse is holding their annual Lax Blast Fundraiser on March 16th. Join the fun, meet other club parents and friends and build a strong support structure and sense of family around our players so we can continue to benefit the boys and girls of KM Lacrosse. Get your tickets now and/or consider becoming a sponsor at www.kmlacrosse.com/lax-blast. This is our largest fundraiser of the year. It benefits boys and girls lacrosse players from youth through high school. Last year was a record year, allowing us to fund multiple items from new uniforms and player packs for youth players to high school girls uniforms and gloves for high school boys. We were also able to provide alternate helmets for varsity. In addition, funds raised go toward maintenance, goals, balls and other equipment.
