We held a number of events for Homecoming and it could not have been more perfect weekend! Thank you to all of our volunteers and participants. Without your support, these events would not have been possible. We'd also like to thank our KM Community for coming out and celebrating with us!
We inducted four new members into the Trailblazers Hall of Fame Friday morning! Rebecca (Millman) Schug, Jane Millman, Liz Millman, and Cori (Schober) Marsh held a very uplifting and insightful discussion with KMSD students, moderated by Violet Kleeflisch and Ben Christiaansen. After the presentation, the new Trailblazers were presented with a plaque and stayed for a lovely brunch, organized by our own Jackie Behling and Jenny Godin. Congratulations to all of these wonderful ladies!
Homecoming Court was announced during the KMSD pep rally Friday afternoon. The king and queen were crowned Friday night during halftime. Congratulations to Amelia Derrig & Benjamin Christiaansen, Gabrialla Noel & Peter Garvin, Alison Abhold & Gavin Weiss, Violet Kleefisch & Nimai Mehta, and Madyson LaCombe & Jonathan Ksobiech! A special congratulations to Alison & Peter for being honored by your classmates as the king and Queen!
Friday evening, there was a Chili/Mac fundraising dinner put on by our music parents. The Homecoming Parade brought out the KM Community, and students of all ages, to enjoy the beautiful weather and celebrate a fun-filled week. It was wonderful seeing all of the various clubs and teams represented!
Finally, the top-ranked Lasers remained undefeated as they dominated Waukesha North, 38-3. The new stadium, packed stands, halftime show, music, and fireworks contributed to an already electric atmosphere. It is truly an exciting year to be a Laser!!!
